Marsha Reuther, M.D.<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

As a\nnative Californian, Dr. Marsha Reuther is especially dedicated to serving the\nlocal community. She began her education at UC Berkeley, earning a degree in molecular\nand cell biology with an emphasis in neurobiology. She received her medical\ndegree from Saint Louis University School of Medicine and was one of few\nelected into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society during her third year.\nShe graduated with both the Distinction in Research Award and the Distinction\nin Community Service Award. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr.\nReuther returned to California to train in otolaryngology \u2013 head and neck surgery\nat UC San Diego. During her training, she completed an additional two years of\nNIH-funded research, receiving the American Academy of Otolaryngology research\naward both years. During her surgical training, Dr. Reuther developed a deep\ninterest in helping people with voice and swallowing problems prompting her to\npursue advanced training in laryngology under the instruction of world-renowned\nexpert Dr. Gregory Postma at the Medical College of Georgia. Dr. Reuther is\nboard certified in otolaryngology \u2013 head and neck surgery. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr.\nReuther is an expert in voice disorders, professional voice care, swallowing\ndisorders, extraesophageal and gastroesophageal reflux, airway surgery and\nreconstruction, and chronic cough. The ability to breathe, talk and swallow is\ninherent to an excellent quality of life, and any dysfunction can lead to\nsocial isolation and despair. Dr. Reuther is committed to helping people with\nthese difficulties, thereby improving overall well-being. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her expertise extends to many areas of laryngology, including\ntreating the aging voice and performing in-office, unsedated laryngeal\nprocedures to avoid the risks of general anesthesia. Office procedures she\nperforms include vocal fold injections, biopsies, transnasal esophagoscopy,\ntracheoesophageal puncture and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She cares for patients in all aspects of otolaryngology and head and neck surgery, including nasal and sinus disease, head and neck cancer, salivary gland disorders, thyroid and parathyroid disease, allergy, snoring and sleep apnea. In addition to providing excellent care, Dr. Reuther emphasizes the value of a strong doctor-patient relationship and feels that patient education and understanding is of utmost importance.  Dr. Reuther is fluent in both Spanish and Russian.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Reuther is a huge animal lover, and when not going to the dog beach with her four-legged buddies, husband and sons, she can be found playing tennis or pickleball, skiing, scuba diving or fishing. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
