For the past two years, doctors, researchers and other scientists have been looking into the causes and effects of COVID-19. Fortunately, we\u2019re seeing cases dropping and life at Downtown and the Gaslamp Quarter<\/a> returning to something that closer resembles \u201cnormal\u201d as we learn more about the virus. One more recent discovery is that the novel coronavirus is linked to inner ear problems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n At present, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) lists the symptoms of COVID-19 as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n However, research shows that the symptoms hearing loss<\/a>, dizziness and tinnitus<\/a> (ringing in the ears) can be added as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Inner ear problems were likely overlooked at the start of the pandemic because doctors were focused on keeping COVID-19 patients alive.
