Dr. Marsha Reuther of San Diego ENT is the first female provider in California to be recognized as an Inspire Excellence Program Member. Inspire is an FDA-approved obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) treatment option for people who cannot use Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) therapy.
OSA affects 22 million Americans. Unfortunately, many go untreated, which can lead to devastating health issues as well as diminished quality of life.
Inspire works inside the body, using mild stimulation to treat sleep apnea. The therapy is controlled by the user with a small handheld remote.
Dr. Reuther cares for patients in all aspects of otolaryngology and head and neck surgery, including nasal and sinus disease, head and neck cancer, salivary gland disorders, thyroid and parathyroid disease, allergy, snoring and sleep apnea. She is the third provider in California, and the first in San Diego, to be named as an Inspire Excellence Program Member.
The award is given by the Inspire Institute Excellence Committee and is based on expertise, patient experience and clinical outcomes.
